Privacy.

This site has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Every font, image and script comes from this site, so loading a page doesn't tell anyone else you visited. The one exception is the call booking page, which loads a calendar from Cal.com (see below).

Who is responsible

Scali, run by Fin, is responsible for anything collected through this site. For any question or request below, email hello.scali.uk@gmail.com.

What I collect

When you fill in the quote form: your name, email, phone number if you give one, your business name and website, and your answers about the project.

When you book a call: your name, email, phone number, business name and the time you picked.

Automatically, through the hosting company: your IP address and basic request details in standard server logs, used to keep the site secure and running.

Cookies and storage

This site sets no cookies. If you use the light/dark switch, your choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device. The booking calendar on the call booking page is provided by Cal.com, which may store what it needs in your browser to make the booking work.

Why, and on what basis

Your enquiry is used to reply, send your welcome package, arrange a call, quote the work and, if you go ahead, deliver it. Before we agree anything the lawful basis is legitimate interests (answering a request you made); once you hire me it's performance of a contract. Records kept for tax are a legal obligation.

Who else sees it

• Netlify hosts the site and receives form submissions for me. Their servers may be outside the UK.
• Google provides my email, calendar and file storage, so your enquiry and any call you book are stored with Google.
• Make passes your enquiry from the form to my records and sends your welcome email automatically.
• Airtable is where I keep a record of enquiries.
• Cal.com runs the booking calendar and holds the details of calls you book.

Some of these companies store data outside the UK, under safeguards such as the UK’s data adequacy rules or standard contract clauses.

Your details are never sold, never added to a mailing list and never passed to anyone other than the services above.

How long it's kept

Enquiries that don't turn into work are deleted within twelve months. Client records are kept for the project and six years afterwards, because HMRC requires it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how it's used, or ask for it in a portable format. Email me and I'll deal with it within one month, free of charge. If you're unhappy with how I've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
